Welcome! I am a licensed therapist and Virginia approved LCSW supervisor who is passionate about providing trauma-informed, client-centered care. I became a therapist because I love working alongside people as they grow and heal to become their fullest, most true selves. During our time together I will do my best to create a safe space free of judgement and expectations, where we can work together to achieve your goals. Whether you are trying to cope with being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world, to heal from past or current traumatic events, to learn to set boundaries to create a more balanced life, or want to gain more understanding about how to navigate conflict in your relationships, I'm here to listen and give a supportive space for you to process and grow.
I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and am a registered LCSW Supervisor in Virginia. I have extensive experience working as both a domestic violence and sexual assault advocate, working with youth involved in the DJJ and DSS systems, and working with neurodivergent populations. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and most commonly use an eclectic mixture of several different therapeutic theories depending on the needs and requests of my clients. In my spare time I like to spend time with my many pets (goats, cats, dogs, chickens, and periodic foster puppies and kittens), spend time outdoors, read, write, and sip hot chocolate while watching an engaging show or movie.
