Hello and welcome. I’m Anne, a therapist who's dedicated to creating a warm and comfortable space for individuals of all ages to navigate life's challenges. With 16 years of experience in mental health work, I've had the pleasure of helping children, teens and adults from diverse backgrounds find their inner strength and thrive. I have witnessed the transformative power of therapy in helping individuals develop resilience, enhance self-awareness, and cultivate a sense of empowerment. I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from Radford University.

I'm dedicated to providing culturally sensitive and affirming care to individuals who may face discrimination, prejudice, or systemic barriers. I've seen firsthand the incredible transformations that can happen when individuals are empowered to embrace their authentic selves. Whether it's helping children navigate their emotions, supporting teens through the rollercoaster of adolescence, or assisting adults on their path to self-discovery, I'm here to provide the support you need to thrive. And if you’re in a space of just making it to the next day, I have extensive experience helping individuals navigate through mental health crises and figure out how to just put one foot in front of the other. It's no secret that severe depression, anxiety, and trauma can have long-lasting effects on our mental, emotional, and physical well-being. That's why I approach therapy with a trauma-informed lens, creating a safe space for you to process your experiences, heal from past wounds, and build resilience.
Enabling families and children to communicate effectively and advocate for themselves is another area close to my heart. I firmly believe that healthy family dynamics, connection to community and open communication are key to positive mental health outcomes. Whether it's Mindfulness-Based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, we'll find what works best for you. I love using art, games, music, visualization, and body work techniques to explore internal processes and get the most out of the therapeutic process.
