she/her
Hi, I’m Jenny. I am a National Certified Counselor and Resident in Counseling under the supervision of Whitney Artutis, LPC. I work with women and adults who have spent years being the strong one—the caretaker, the black sheep, the one who holds everything together even in the midst of trauma, difficult relationships, or life‑altering transitions. Many of my clients come to me carrying the weight of PTSD, complex trauma, intimate partner violence, anxiety, depression, or significant life changes, and they’re ready to finally create space for their own healing. My ideal clients are women who have taken care of everyone else for so long that they’ve lost track of themselves. They want to feel good in their own skin again, reconnect with their inner strength, and move from simply surviving to truly thriving.
My “why” is woven from my own lived experiences. I’ve navigated major life transitions and challenges myself, and I’ve seen firsthand the deep transformation that can happen when you allow yourself to grow, heal, and embrace change. I believe every person deserves joy, a full life, and the freedom to embody who they truly are. With more than 18 years in the education field and experience in community‑based services, I’ve spent my career working with diverse populations and creating grounded, authentic connections. It is truly an honor to do this work.
In therapy, I take a holistic, trauma‑informed, and collaborative approach. I incorporate somatic and polyvagal‑informed techniques to support mind‑body awareness and nervous system regulation. I am trained in EMDR, including specialized training in Complex Trauma, Structural Dissociation, and EMDR for Spiritual Trauma and Religious Abuse. I also integrate parts‑informed approaches, MCBT, and a strengths‑based perspective that highlights the resilience clients carry, even when they don’t always see it themselves. I believe in approaching healing by looking at the whole person—not just isolated symptoms—and tailoring the process to what feels safe, empowering, and aligned for each individual.
Clients often describe me as warm, down‑to‑earth, and real. I’m not afraid to use humor when it fits, and I show up authentically so my clients feel they can do the same. I see therapy as a partnership: you are the expert on your life, and I’m here to walk alongside you, support you, challenge you gently when needed, and help you process experiences in a grounded, compassionate space.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me outdoors, listening to podcasts or audiobooks while working on puzzles, curled up with a good book, or spending time with my pups who keep life lively and full of love.
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and am a member of EMDRIA. I also hold an MA in Children’s Literature, a degree that reflects my lifelong love of story, meaning‑making, and the ways we grow through the narratives we carry. I am committed to ongoing training and development to provide effective, research‑supported, and deeply human care to the clients I serve.
