Opening on July 13th: Additional office location at 1932 Braeburn Dr. Salem!
Hello and welcome. My name is Abbey Oxygéne, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor serving adults, teens, and children throughout Virginia. I know reaching out for help is not always easy, and I believe everyone deserves a space where they can feel heard, supported, and understood.
For more than 20 years, I have worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance use concerns, relationship challenges, and life's many ups and downs. My experience includes community mental health, crisis services, substance use treatment, and correctional mental health. Working in these settings has taught me that healing looks different for everyone, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.
As a bilingual clinician, I provide services in both English and Haitian Creole. I am proud of my Haitian roots and understand how culture, family experiences, and personal values can shape the way we view ourselves and the world around us.
My style is warm, down-to-earth, and supportive. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. Whether you are carrying the weight of past trauma, struggling with anxiety or depression, dealing with relationship difficulties, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, I will meet you where you are and work alongside you at your pace. Additionally I am trained in working with clients who are neurodivergent, whether they have ADHD or are on the autism spectrum.
I believe people are stronger than they often give themselves credit for. Even during life's hardest moments, there is room for healing, growth, and hope. My goal is to help you build on the strengths you already have, learn new ways to cope with challenges, and create a life that feels more balanced and meaningful.
I look forward to being part of your journey.
