Welcome. I am a therapist who is passionate about working with individuals who want to learn more about themselves and improve their daily lives, their relationships, and how they feel about themselves. I feel honored and inspired when working with individuals who wish to heal issues of trauma, low self-esteem, unwanted behaviors, and relationship issues. When reaching out for help, it is important to feel seen, heard, and safe. These are qualities that I value and commit to uphold during our therapy sessions.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who graduated with a Master’s of Social Work from Radford University. I also obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Longwood University. I am EMDRIA Certified in EMDR and an IFS-Level-1 trained therapist. I have had experience working with individuals with PTSD, adults with substance use disorders, and facilitating group therapy sessions for those who struggle with both mental health and substance use issues. Some therapy modalities and techniques that I incorporate in sessions include EMDR, parts work, mindfulness, and solution focused brief therapy (SFBT).
Having received therapy myself, I know the many benefits that it can provide. It is helpful to understand how our story impacts who we are today and our behaviors. I hope to be able to provide you a safe space where you can share your story and find some clarity, relief, and hope.
Outside of therapy sessions, I enjoy reading and partaking in book clubs, thrifting at second hand shops, hiking, and traveling to new locations.
