I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Virginia, dedicated to fostering holistic wellness through an integrative and intersectional approach to mental health. With specialized training in somatic psychology, I combine evidence-based therapeutic techniques—including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, play therapy, career counseling, and liberation, systems, and African/Black psychology—to support clients in achieving emotional, financial, and physical well-being while uncovering their life’s purpose.
I have extensive experience working in diverse clinical settings, including private practice, high schools, residential treatment centers, in-home care, and university counseling. In my therapeutic work I have supported individuals, families, and couples navigating challenges concerning dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics, trauma, identity development, ADHD, emotional and boundary dysfunction, burnout, anxiety, gender, sexuality, chronic homelessness, depression, grief, mood disorders, systemic racism and oppression, and neurodivergence.
I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Virginia Tech to expand my expertise in training, research, and advocacy for accessible, culturally responsive mental health care. Because of my passion for culturally responsive care, I prioritize accessibility and relevance in therapy, creating a healing space for individuals across all ages, genders, abilities, races, religions, socioeconomic backgrounds, and sexual identities. I am committed to empowering clients with the tools and insights needed for lasting transformation, integration, and self-discovery.
