I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and graduated with a Master's of Arts in Counselor Education from Virginia Tech. I am the founder of Life Worth Living Counseling and offer individual counseling to adults. I have extensive experience working with trauma and am an EMDRIA-Certified EMDR Therapist, offering attachment-focused, and trauma-informed treatment. I also enjoy working with clients who are participating in ketamine or esketamine (Spravato) treatment in order to help with integration and healing. I have worked with foster and adoptive families in numerous roles and am able to help parents focus on attachment and healing. I utilize humor, intuition, and creativity in my work and enjoy thinking outside the box! You know yourself better than anyone, and better than any therapist ever will. My goal is to guide you through processing your past experiences, current events, and hopes for the future. I personally believe that safety is the most important aspect of a therapeutic relationship. My goal is for every client to feel seen, heard, and known in our work together. I am willing to help you work through deeply held beliefs and fears and dig deep into your past, but we will move at your pace and within your own level of comfort. I believe therapy is an incredible tool to know yourself, heal, and move toward change and have been in therapy for many years myself. In my downtime, I enjoy any type of arts and crafts project, reading, being outside, listening to (mostly true crime) podcasts, and spending time with my family.
