I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and graduated with a Master's of Arts in Counselor Education from Virginia Tech. I am the founder of Life Worth Living Counseling and offer individual counseling to adults. I have extensive experience working with trauma and offer EMDR, attachment focused, and trauma-informed treatment. I also enjoy working with clients who are participating in ketamine or esketamine treatment in order to help with integration and healing. I have worked with foster and adoptive families in numerous roles and am able to help parents focus on attachment and healing. I utilize humor, art, and creativity in my work and enjoy thinking outside the box! You know yourself better than anyone, and better than any therapist ever will. My goal is to guide you through processing your past experiences, current events, and hopes for the future. I personally believe that safety is the most important aspect of a therapeutic relationship. My goal is for every client to feel seen, heard, and known in our work together. I am willing to help you work through deeply held beliefs and fears and dig deep into your past, but we will move at your pace and within your own level of comfort. I believe therapy is an incredible tool to know yourself, heal, and move toward change and have been in therapy for many years myself. In my downtime, I enjoy any type of arts and crafts project, reading, listening to (mostly true crime) podcasts, and spending time with my family.

I earned my Master’s of Social Work degree at Radford University and am currently working towards licensure under the supervision of Adrien Monti, LCSW, and Kathryn Mustard, LCSW. I have experience working with adults, teens, and children, with a current focus on teens and adults. It is important to me to provide a safe environment for clients, and to meet them with kind and caring attention at each session. I take time with every client to learn about their strengths and how they understand their current situation, needs, and abilities. The client’s perspective and goals will be pivotal in how we move forward together in therapy. I am trained in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness, and I utilize these and other techniques including Strengths-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and DBT-informed techniques.

Welcome! I am a licensed therapist who is passionate about providing trauma-informed, client-centered care. I became a therapist because I love working alongside people as they grow and heal to become their fullest, most true selves. During our time together I will do my best to create a safe space free of judgement and expectations, where we can work together to achieve your goals. Whether you are trying to cope with being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world, to heal from past or current traumatic events, to learn to set boundaries to create a more balanced life, or want to gain more understanding about how to navigate conflict in your relationships, I'm here to listen and give a supportive space for you to process and grow.
I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and moved to Virginia a few years ago from Wisconsin for the warm weather and the mountains. I have extensive experience working as both a domestic violence and sexual assault advocate, working with youth involved in the DJJ and DSS systems, and working with neurodivergent populations. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and most commonly use an eclectic mixture of several different therapeutic theories depending on the needs and requests of my clients. In my spare time I like to spend time with my many pets (goats, cats, dogs, chickens, and periodic foster puppies and kittens), spend time outdoors, read, write, and sip hot chocolate while watching an engaging show or movie.

Hi there! I am a Resident in Counseling, working under the supervision of Whitney Artutis, LPC. I received my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Moody Theological Seminary - Michigan. I consider it one of life's greatest honors to walk with people through times of difficulty as they find their way back home to hope.
I work with adults of all ages who are struggling with trauma, anxiety and depression, boundaries, relationship issues, and major life changes and adjustments. My areas of specialization include the trauma recovery process, faith-based integration, women’s issues including maternal mental health, and cultural/identity issues including concerns related to moving and immigration.
My approach to therapy is warm, relational, and collaborative. I love helping my clients process their story, identify their strengths, and clarify their values. I prioritize creating an authentic relationship with each of my clients. From there, I use an evidence-based, trauma-informed lens to work towards treatment goals.
My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I often integrate concepts from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) such as mindfulness and grounding techniques to help my clients feel equipped and empowered in the therapeutic process. I am also trained as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator, which I utilize when working with couples particularly in premarital counseling. Together, we will identify which treatment approach would be most helpful to your situation and unique experiences.

Hello! I am glad you are here. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who received my Master's degree in Counselor Education at Radford University. Since then I have spent several years working with both adults and children whose life experiences have resulted in depression, attachment concerns, insecurities, and difficulty with interpersonal relationships. I love using creative ways to connect with others and begin the healing process, including music, art, nature, and movement. I utilize trauma-informed care with all of my clients and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy, along with other treatment modalities. I offer both in person and telehealth appointments.
I am passionate about and enjoy working with adolescents, utilizing play therapy techniques as appropriate. Building a trusting relationship is important when working with both adolescents and adults, and I love thinking outside of the box when developing therapeutic relationships. I provide flexible hours that can work with school or extra-curricular activities. I am also passionate about working with prenatal/postnatal individuals. Whether you are wanting a family, trying for a family, celebrating a pregnancy, mourning a loss, or walking through parenthood, I would love to walk along beside you and support you in your journey. Postpartum anxiety and depression are often overlooked, despite their serious impact, and this something I would love to work with you on, whether it’s for you or your partner.
I believe spirituality can be an important part of life, and oftentimes leads to a supportive community. However, if your experiences with spirituality have not been positive, therapy can be a great tool to utilize throughout your healing journey. I strive to live a value-driven life rather than a goal-driven life. My hope is that through our time together, you learn more about yourself, what you value, and how to align those two things, so that you feel fulfilled and successful in your day to day life.

Welcome. I am a therapist who is passionate about working with individuals who want to learn more about themselves and improve their daily lives, their relationships, and how they feel about themselves. I feel honored and inspired when working with individuals who wish to heal issues of trauma, low self-esteem, unwanted behaviors, and relationship issues. When reaching out for help, it is important to feel seen, heard, and safe. These are qualities that I value and commit to uphold during our therapy sessions.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who graduated with a Master’s of Social Work from Radford University. I also obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Longwood University. I have had experience working with individuals with PTSD, adults with substance use disorders, and facilitating group therapy sessions for those who struggle with both mental health and substance use issues. Some therapy modalities and techniques that I incorporate in sessions include EMDR, parts work, mindfulness, and solution focused brief therapy (SFBT).
Having received therapy myself, I know the many benefits that it can provide. It is helpful to understand how our story impacts who we are today and our behaviors. I hope to be able to provide you a safe space where you can share your story and find some clarity, relief, and hope.
Outside of therapy sessions, I enjoy reading and partaking in book clubs, thrifting at second hand shops, hiking, and traveling to new locations. During our online therapy sessions, you may catch some glimpses of my cat, Luna, in the background.

Hello and welcome. I’m Anne, a therapist who's dedicated to creating a warm and comfortable space for individuals of all ages to navigate life's challenges. With 16 years of experience in mental health work, I've had the pleasure of helping children, teens and adults from diverse backgrounds find their inner strength and thrive. I have witnessed the transformative power of therapy in helping individuals develop resilience, enhance self-awareness, and cultivate a sense of empowerment. I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from Radford University and am currently in licensure supervision with Jaimie Echternach, LCSW.
I believe strongly in the worth and dignity of every single person. I'm dedicated to providing culturally sensitive and affirming care to individuals who may face discrimination, prejudice, or systemic barriers. Together, we'll create a therapeutic space where you can explore your identity, process your experiences, navigate societal pressures, and build resilience in the face of adversity. I've seen firsthand the incredible transformations that can happen when individuals are empowered to embrace their authentic selves. Whether it's helping children navigate their emotions, supporting teens through the rollercoaster of adolescence, or assisting adults on their path to self-discovery, I'm here to provide the support you need to thrive. And if you’re in a space of just making it to the next day, I have extensive experience helping individuals navigate through mental health crises and figure out how to just put one foot in front of the other. It's no secret that severe depression, anxiety, and trauma can have long-lasting effects on our mental, emotional, and physical well-being. That's why I approach therapy with a trauma-informed lens, creating a safe space for you to process your experiences, heal from past wounds, and build resilience.
Enabling families and children to communicate effectively and advocate for themselves is another area close to my heart. I firmly believe that healthy family dynamics, connection to community and open communication are key to positive mental health outcomes. So, let's work together to strengthen your family bonds, improve communication skills, and create a nurturing environment where everyone feels heard and understood.
Your therapy sessions will be person-centered and guided by evidence-based practice models. I believe that each person is unique, and deserves a personalized approach to therapy. So, we'll work together to craft a plan that suits your specific needs and goals. Whether it's Mindfulness-Based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, we'll find what works best for you. I love using art, games, music, visualization, and body work techniques to explore internal processes and get the most out of the therapeutic process.
I believe asking for help is one of the bravest things anyone can do. It takes courage to reach out and seek support, and I'm truly honored to be considered a partner in your journey. Together, we’ll create a safe space where you can find your voice, discover your inner strength, and create lasting positive change.
