Cary-Grace James, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia. I received my BSW from James Madison University and completed my Masters degree in Social Work at Radford University. 

I specialize in working with teen girls and adult women who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, trauma, and other mental health concerns. 

My approach is person-centered and focused on creating a place where you feel valued, safe, and heard. I use a combination of evidence-based and trauma-informed practices depending on your needs; often utilizing approaches like interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic therapy, CBT and DBT. I believe physical, emotional, and spiritual health are interconnected within the human experience. For clients seeking a faith-based perspective, I value integrating faith into the counseling process. Whatever your story, my hope is to create the space for deeper understanding of yourself while equipping you with tools that support your desired future and healing.

In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and friends. I can often be found enjoying Roanoke's many Greenways or drinking good local coffee.
